About Plan B

In the most unconventional yet incredible space in South Belfast, a monthly party has been bringing a lot of joy and human connection into people’s lives.  For those that have experienced and played at PLAN-B have been part of something special – and frequent mid-week afterglows.

PLAN-B was the result of a cancelled night, A Love from Outer Space gig during COVID lockdown in October 2021.  It was to be the first time a group of people who at that point had only ever communicated online during weekly internet radio show called The Sunday Service.  This was the Brainchild of local legend David Anderson of Hairy Bear Records.

David started the weekly show to reach out to kike-minded people through the love of music.  It was not only something to look forward to at the end of each week, but it was also a reawakening of a deeply rooted passion and respect for the quality electronic music which for many was confined to memories and youth gone by.  Sunday became the best day of the week for many and a spark which many thought was gone.  Incredible music with the best craic via online chat forum, a total bonus.  The show was far-reaching, with regulars logging in from Canada, Australia, South Carolina, UK, Ireland – all slagging the life out of each other with people they never met before.
